Personal Trainer and Nutritionist
Jay has over 20 years of personal training experience in La Jolla, CA. Jay specializes in functional training, which facilitates greater strength and range of motion along with endurance. In his circuit-training format, he incorporates weights, cardio, yoga, boxing/kick boxing, calisthenics and plyometrics. Jay also offers customized nutritional counseling with personal advice for supplementation programs.
He customizes tailored workouts for his client’s individual wants, needs and fitness goals. Jay specializes training males and females at the full-range of fitness levels, and has worked with professional athletes (UFC fighters, NFL players, pro surfers and triathletes), and with amateur athletes committed to various sports endeavors. In 2001 and 2006, he was voted trainer of the year in the La Jolla Light. Jay played scholastic football, basketball, and baseball throughout his childhood and adolescence. As an adult, he has competed in surfing, triathlon, swimming, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, -Muay-Thai Kickboxing, and marathon (half marathon).
